Why am I Not Seeing Any Picture On My TV?

There are many issues that can cause loss of image on your TV. Things to check: Is the TV turning on, can you see any power lights on the front of the television? Do you hear sound from your program at all, or is there no signal whatsoever? Do you see a message on your television screen that briefly tells you what input you are on or HDMI etc.? Did you remember to pay your monthly invoice?

If the TV is turning on, try changing the channel using your remote. You might see a logo from your provider floating on your screen with a helpful message, or you might tune into a channel that is actively sending content. Sometimes changing the channel and then changing back again is enough to wake any satellite or cable box. If you can reach those boxes, check to see that they are powered on and are displaying a channel number. We've seen many strange messages displayed on problem boxes. Anything unusual should be cleared up by a reboot, if it's not too serious.

Sometimes the issue is with the signal service provider or with the account, but many times, a reboot of the troublesome device is the quickest way to get back to your couch surfing.
